I recently purchased LockInfo, a great Lockscreen app available on Cydia/RockApp for $5. I had the trial for a few days to see if I would like it better than Intelliscreen and liked it so much I now use it instead.
What does it do? It let’s you view your email, SMS, Calendar, todo, weather, missed calls and voicemails on your Lockscreen. Basically everything that Intelliscreen can do, minus the RSS feeds. I now use it instead of Intelliscreen because I find it easier to use and nicer to look at.
It is very configurable. You can set what is collapsed by default is you prefer a cleaner looking screen like below:
Or for an even cleaner screen you can make it so that only sections that actually have items will show up:
I usually have my default set as:
Another nice feature is that you can add this screen as the first page of your homescreen, either instead of or in addition to the lockscreen. Then you have all of the same info and your dock like this:
I currently have the WeatherIcon, Appigo Todo, and Clock plugin installed. I find all 3 to be very useful. You can even get themes for LockInfo, a popular one being Gruppled. See here for information on that: Gruppled
I really recommend at least checking out the trial of this app to see if it’s what you are looking for. Anybody used it and have any thoughts? Comment below.

Intelliscreen offers on cue updating of info. panes, quick view of items with the ability to launch the parent app all from the lockscreen. This is a valued function that LockInfo still lacks. As far as “looking pretty”, it’s easy to mod the graphic files to suit different styles and tastes. For me it still is in the lead as far as true interactive functionality, beyond displaying info. Hopefully LockInfo will add at least this level of interactivity.
I’ve purchased both Intelliscreen and LockInfo and flip flop between them. But when I’m taking care of business, Intelliscreen is on. Just a comment.

I do like the quick view of Intelliscreen, but I don’t find myself missing it much. I still use Elert though so I can hit that when an email comes in to open it in the same quick view window that Intelliscreen uses. I’m not sure why I would need on cue updating of panes. I have push email though so I guess I don’t need that feature.
I just found LockInfo easier to configure, simple and pain free to use, and nicer looking (without much custom modification). Intelliscreen is also missing the nice Todo plugin. A new plugin for Things also just came out which works very well also. The new Twitter plugin for LockInfo is also nice additional functionality over Intelliscreen.
It’s good that there is so much competition now. Lockscreen, Intelliscreen, SmartScreen, QuickWidgets, and Cydgets. Having all of these will only help spur on development to stay ahead of the game.

I use both Intelliscreen and LockInfo as well
The only thing keeping me on IS for the most part is the ability to open emails, calendar entries, etc. right from Lockscreen entry. Since I have a passcode to unlock, this function saves me TONS of time by not needing to unlock and then find/launch those apps. If David Ashman can implement that type of “preview” I will likely move away from IS.

Yeah, that would be awesome if he could do that.

I’m thrilled to see some good, competitive comparisons between my LockInfo and Intelliscreen. I do plan to add the interactivity and preview options in the future, but felt that getting a stable, quick and extensible LockInfo out the door was the top priority. Keep the ideas coming!

I’ve had no performance or stability problems which I’m quite happy about. Intelliscreen seemed to have some performance hiccups sometimes and also did seem to crash for no apparent reason every once in awhile. That’s one of the main reasons I keep LockInfo on more often than not.
Looking forward to future updates.

I’ve tried it and it works great. My big wishes are for
1. facebook plugin
2. Ability to launch relevant app when tripple clicking a lockinfo entry. Much smoother transition.

For 6 icons it’s just called “Six Icon Dock”. Rather self explanatory heh.
The theme for the icons is Illumine.
